Following the recent departure of former head coach Shola, we are confident that Jeff will bring continuity, fresh energy, and a deep understanding of our squad and the Club’s philosophy to his new role. 

The vocal manager joined Sporting Lagos Academy in 2023 as Assistant Coach and played a key role in our historic Gothia Puma Trophy win. He was promoted to the first team as assistant coach for our 2024/25 NNL season where he proved his tactical and leadership qualities. 

When the position of the Senior Team Head Coach became vacant, it was clear we didn’t need to look elsewhere — Jeff was the natural choice to lead us forward. 

He began his coaching journey in 2020 as an assistant coach at Makinz FA, Abuja before being promoted to Head Coach there. He later went on to work with the AS Roma Academy and Derby Football Academy in Abuja as Head Coach. He joined us in 2023 from Derby. 

Speaking on his new role, he shared, “I’m honoured to lead this team. For me, Sporting Lagos is family. I’m ready to take on the challenge, build on our successes, and take us to even greater heights.”

Club Chairman Godwin Enakhena also expressed his excitement, saying, “Jeffery has shown remarkable dedication and professionalism since joining our Academy two years ago. His work ethic, vision, and ability to challenge the norm make him the perfect fit to guide our senior team. We look forward to the next chapter of Sporting Lagos under his leadership.”

Coach Jeff holds a Scottish FA C License and is currently pursuing his UEFA C license.
